I wrote in my post about the Echo Park anthology about how I started writing fanfic for Life is Strange almost immediately after completing my first play-through. This story is the most direct descendant of those initial scribblings, having started out as my idea of how the other ending might turn out. It’s since been tweaked to better fit with the canon now that I've sobbed my way through the other ending, but the core idea is still there. The concept of choices, consequences, and responsibility as espoused in the opening quote from Babylon 5 is something that I immediately connected with Max’s story in the game.
